Conflict in the Middle East has pushed up prices at the pump and put local households under additional pressure. The 2026-27 Victorian Budget delivers half price fares from 1 June until the end of 2026
to save commuters money and reduce our fuel demand.

Under half price fares, a full daily fare will cost $5.70 to travel anywhere across the state, not $11.40, saving the average daily commuter more than $850 from 1 June until the end of the year.

> For Under 18s, public transport remains free.

> For Victorian Seniors Card holders using a Seniors Myki card, public transport on weekends also remains free.
