VICTORIAN BUDGET 22/23:

There are currently over 20 different community groups actively involved in caring for Kooyongkoot-Gardiners Creek. Whilst this reflects residents’ love for this natural treasure, it can also be problematic when implementing longer-term decisions about its care.

The Victorian Budget has committed $250,000 to create a Kooyongkoot-Gardiners Creek Masterplan, in partnership with the KooyongKoot Alliance and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Traditional Owners.

This long term plan will create lasting and sustainable improvements to the amenity and environment, all the way from Blackburn Lake to the Yarra.
