As you may be aware, the Victorian Government has announced an expansion to the Activity Centre program.
The aim is to encourage more new homes to be built around high-frequency train and tram line hubs.
The first 25 centres now been announced, and this includes six centres along the Belgrave-Lilydale Line, including Blackburn Station.
The locations of the centres have been identified by the Department of Transport and Planning based on an analysis of transport capacity, access to jobs and services and environmental considerations.
Government will work with the Blackburn community to progressively introduce new planning controls – engaging with Whitehorse Council and locals - to further understand residents’ priorities.
This is an opportunity for you to have your say on the Victorian Government’s proposed Activity Centre for the zone around Blackburn Station.
Please feel free to list any concerns, thoughts or ideas you may have.
Your input is greatly appreciated!
